After completing the online portion, students attend a structured BLS Hands-On Session with a Premier Emergency Preparedness AHA Instructors. This session focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.
HeartCode BLS is for healthcare professionals seeking an alternative method for completing an initial or renewal BLS Course.
Blended Learning (online portion, followed by hands-on session)
- The online portion of HeartCode BLS can be completed in approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. Learners must purchase HeartCode BLS Part 1 online from the AHA.
- Time to complete the hands-on session varies from 45 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the experience of the student.
- Students must bring proof of Part 1 completion to their skills check-off.

Certification Course Card
Upon successful completion of the course, including a skills test, students receive a Basic Life Support course card, which is valid for two years.
Class fees are non-refundable. Refunds are not provided if an individual cancels, does not attend or does not complete the entire class. This policy also applies to students who do not bring proof of Part 1 completion to their skills check-off.
